With all respect due to Nick DiSalvo, who is incredibly talented, the proggy vocals are not what I love the most with Elder. What I love the most, I'll admit, is the incredible synthy, krauty goodness, from the track Sonntag on the previous album to the wonderful delving LP Hirschbrunnen. I think these instrumental Sessions were a major step in that direction, and I love them dearly for it.

To call this "psychedelic rock" doesn't really do Liquify justice. This man produces some of the best-sounding guitar music around. Some of his solos are especially reminiscent of David Gilmour (as many others have noted) but also Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult.
